Goalkeeper Development at D10 FC Club

At D10 FC, goalkeeper development is based on a comprehensive methodology that addresses each stage of learning for children and youth, with the aim of developing complete and versatile goalkeepers from an early age. Our approach focuses on the gradual and personalized progression of players, ensuring that each goalkeeper receives the appropriate training for their level of development.

1. Children's Phase (6-12 years)

Objective: To introduce and consolidate the basic skills of archery in a fun and stimulating environment.

Approach:

  • Basic Technique: The fundamental techniques of goalkeeping are taught, including basic position, ball handling, and the first catching and clearing techniques.
  • Motor Development: Activities designed to improve coordination, balance and agility, essential for an archer.
  • Play and Fun: Age-appropriate exercises that incorporate play elements to keep children motivated and engaged.

Methodology:

  • Motor exercises: Games and activities that improve mobility and reaction capacity.
  • Short and dynamic sessions: Short and varied training sessions to maintain the interest and energy of young archers.

2. Youth Phase (13-17 years)

Objective: To refine the archer's technical and tactical skills, preparing them for higher level competitions.

Approach:

  • Advanced Technique: Perfecting blocking, clearing, and aerial exit techniques. Specific exercises are incorporated to improve precision and reaction time.
  • Game Tactics: Teaching defensive strategies, reading the game and positioning in the area. Match situations are simulated to improve decision making under pressure.
  • Physical and Psychological Condition: Physical training focused on endurance, strength and flexibility, along with mental preparation sessions to handle pressure and concentration during matches.

Methodology:

  • Video Analysis: Using video analysis to study one's own and opponents' performance, allowing goalkeepers to better understand their game and areas for improvement.
  • Match Simulation: Exercises that replicate real game situations to develop reaction capacity and decision-making in real time.
  • Comprehensive Training: Combined sessions that include technical, tactical and physical aspects for complete preparation.
